From December 20th to 21st, 2025, the Finals of the 2nd National Battery Industry Vocational Skills Competition, part of the 2025 National Light Industry Vocational Skills Competition, were successfully held at QuanZhi Technology Innovation Park in Bao'an District, Shenzhen City. Following the high-standard organization criteria of the first edition, the competition adhered to the core tenet of "promoting learning, training, evaluation and development through competitions". It aligned with the demand for high-quality development of the battery industry, aimed to identify and reserve high-quality skilled talents for the sector, and help maintain China's talent advantage in the global competition of the battery industry.

This year's competition was jointly hosted by the China National Light Industry Council, China Battery Industry Association, and China Finance, Trade, Light Industry, Textile and Tobacco Union. It set up two major events: Battery Tester and Battery (Pack) Assembler. Adopting a dual-dimensional evaluation model of "theoretical assessment + practical competition", it comprehensively tested the comprehensive professional literacy of participating contestants at multiple levels.

After rigorous screening in the preliminary round, 89 outstanding contestants from battery enterprises, scientific research institutions and relevant organizations across the country gathered in Shenzhen to compete in a two-day skills showdown. On the field, the contestants skillfully operated various professional equipment and tools, demonstrated their professional proficiency with exquisite skills, interpreted the fighting spirit with a high-spirited attitude, and fully displayed the outstanding demeanor of skilled talents in the battery industry in the new era.

After fierce competition, the Battery Tester event awarded 3 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 12 third prizes; the Battery (Pack) Assembler event awarded 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 10 third prizes.

At the closing ceremony, Huang Xuejie, Vice Chairman of the China Battery Industry Association and Researcher of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented awards to the winning contestants on behalf of the organizers.

The 2nd National Battery Industry Vocational Skills Competition came to a successful conclusion. This competition not only built a high-quality platform for skilled talents in the battery industry to showcase themselves, exchange skills and improve their abilities, but also demonstrated that the construction of the skilled talent team in China's battery industry has entered a new stage in terms of broadening evaluation channels and establishing commendation orientation. In the future, we will always uphold the craftsman spirit, continuously improve the whole-chain institutional system for the training, use, evaluation and incentive of skilled talents, fully release the innovative and creative vitality of skilled talents, comprehensively promote the quality and efficiency of the construction of the skilled talent team, and jointly write a new chapter for the high-quality development of China's battery industry.
