On May 16th, the 5th Session (3rd Meeting) of the Member Congress of Zhejiang Provincial Waste Battery Recycling and Utilization Association was held at the International Conference Center of Hangzhou Polytechnic. He Rongfei, Honorary Advisor of Zhejiang Provincial Waste Battery Recycling and Utilization Association, Counselor of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and former Director of the Provincial Economic Restructuring Commission; Zhang Yu, former First-Class Researcher of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment and former Deputy Director of Zhejiang Provincial Solid Waste Supervision and Management Center; He Ronghua, Deputy Director of Fuyang District Development and Reform Bureau; Li Bei, Secretary-General of Zhejiang Brand Building Promotion Association; Chen Chen, Director of the Science and Technology Department of Hangzhou Polytechnic; and Zhang Chaoshan, Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering of Hangzhou Polytechnic attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Ni Kai, Secretary-General of the Association, and Lin Zhedong, Deputy Secretary-General. Relevant experts from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Ningbo University, as well as 58 member units including Chaowei Power Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Tianneng Power Material Co., Ltd., Hengdian Group DMEGC Magnetics Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Kan Battery Co., Ltd. participated in the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and approved the "2022 Annual Work Summary of the Association", "2022 Annual Financial Report of the Association", "List of Newly Added Member Units", "Proposal and List on Supplementary Directors", "Recommended List of Chief Vote Supervisors and Staff", and other contents. It also held a vote to elect the 5th Session (4th Meeting) of the Council, and approved the renaming of the Association and the amendment of its articles of association. Zhang Chaoshan, Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering, was elected as the President of the 5th Session (4th Meeting) of the Council. The Association plans to be renamed as Zhejiang Provincial New Energy Comprehensive Utilization Association. On behalf of the 5th Session (4th Meeting) of the Council, Zhang Chaoshan delivered a statement, stating that the Association will further play its role as a bridge and link, effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members, strengthen internal and external exchanges and cooperation as well as its own construction, actively carry out training work, vigorously organize various special talent training activities for waste battery recycling and industry vocational skills competitions, fully create a new situation for the Association's work, and push the Association's work to a new level.

Zhejiang Provincial Waste Battery Recycling and Utilization Association was founded on March 1st, 2017. Since its establishment, through enterprise cooperation, technical management, academic exchanges and other means, the Association has accelerated the layout of the comprehensive utilization of the urban mineral new energy industry, actively assisted enterprises in the storage, regeneration and recycling of new energy batteries, and carried out in-depth work around the large-scale, standardized and professional development of the new energy vehicle power battery industry, injecting new momentum into improving the comprehensive utilization level of new energy vehicle power batteries.
